As a mom balancing a 9-5, raising my daughter and trying to carve out time for my creative work, the reminder that success doesn’t have to be a constant chase really resonated with me. I’ve been so focused on getting OUT. Out of the job, out of the stress, out of the routine. But sometimes I forget I’m already building something meaningful by showing up, learning and staying aligned with what matters in life. Thank you for reminding me that I attract success by embodying it. And by exhaling! I’m slowing down today, for my daughter and for me. Thank you Idris Elijah and have a great weekend!!

I adore this takeaway! Most of us are focused on getting OUT that we forget the forest for the trees. A friendly reminder this is indeed. I know you got this! Your daughter is so lucky to have you as a mom. 😌🙌🏾

I think a lot of us are feeling the cracks that come from chasing an idea of success that doesn’t match our values. Your vulnerability helps carve out space for the rest of us to be honest too. I’m sharing this with two friends who are quietly struggling right now. I think this will help them and me too. Thank you for sharing your story and for putting language to the silent parts of the journey. Well done Idris Elijah!

Anyone with ambition would benefit from reading today’s newsletter. I loved the nuance here that success can feel empty if it’s not aligned with who we are. This is why self-awareness is so important! I also love a good acronym. L.U.C.K. is a mantra I’m writing down and revisiting often. I’ll carry this mindset shift into the start of summer and beyond. Great read today Idris!

I hadn’t thought about the loss of community and the strange emptiness you may feel even when you achieve success. You’re so right about that! There really is no finish line to success. It’s a lifetime relationship with self, purpose and time. My life is a lot different now from 10 and even 5 years ago. You sharing your story today helped me reflect on my own story. I also did the breathing exercise at the end. So simple yet so grounding! Thank you for starting this important conversation today Idris Elijah!
